Can you share with me some of your experience ?...

of course i can :). this is my experience ===> MY EXPERIENCE <=== wanna share?
If yes, take a pencil or a pen, a piece of paper, then write down: "MY EXPERIENCE" and you can consider that i've shared my experience with you :D. how about your experience? wanna share with me?
If no, aiyaaaa too bad. i've got nothing more to say already. you're so hopeless, hopeless :D.

ok, I'll take PENCE, you take the rest.:D
Just a joke to welcome you. Nhung may want to share, will you not?

As for me, it's a nightmare. A long time waiting for the exam to start made me so nervous and then time went as fast as lightning took me by surprise. Anyway, it's over.:D for me

I was plagued by high temperature, a sore throat + a running nose on test day. Still, I don't think it disturbed me as much as it did the other two test takers (one was taking the GRE + the other the GMAT) in the same room. I'd sneeze + cough every now and then, so it must have been very hard for them to concentrate. I'm sooo sorry T_T

I had mixed feelings - was both glad that everything would soon be over and anxious about my scores. I found the test to be slightly easier than the practice units on the Powerprep CD. Uh,.. They asked me to write something about improvements in the past century for the essay. That was probably the only part where I lacked time. I finished the test about an hour or more early ^_^ The breaks between sections were kind of short, so you won't be able to do much more than go to the WC or drink water. After such a long time, that's all I can remember.

3 feelings I can still remember:

1. The test room is sooooooo cold ... terrible :(
2. Hic, this test costs 110 USD, I'd rather not mess it up :) This is what makes me nervous
3. What the heck is the writing topic going to be ?

I am so lazzzzy to practice writing essays for the TOEFL, so I was somewhat shocked when seeing a "weird" topic that I've never seen before (don't even know it's on the topic list). Thank God, it's over :)

Oh, Tùng, đi you take Toefl test?? It is terrible
- Test center is so cold
- I can't concentrate on my test because people type too loud :((
- Worry about essay topic
- In Reading section, think about beach and summer holiday when it is about beach  who did????:D

The test center really didn't make a good impression to me. They took the most horrible picture possible.
temperature was fine, cos i remembered to bring a fleece.
was very optimistic that i would get a good score on the reading section, but it did not turn out to be true :(
relieved when i saw the topic of my essay, easiest one ever, it must have been a lucky day.

It was a terrible experience for me  .I got a foggy headphone, and then I missed 2 questions for changing the headphone, but it was still as bad.  Consequently. my listening score turned out awful. But at least the essay topic was pretty easy ( a small luck on a unlucky day) :) My score was not good at all but I did not retake it as I was running out of time. (Actually I should, but I was so frustrated to do it) <- a good experience for anybody who meet the similar situation. :)

Hey, wazzzup dai ca Tunh, so you're finally here!
Good topic my friend.
hi`hi`, to cung share mot ti.

To thay phong test ngop tho lam, nong nuc nhu sa mac. Hay la vi hai cai tai cua to no cu do chot vot.

Cong nhan mot dieu, man they got some lousy headphone. I had to use one hand to hold the cord up so I could hear. I raised my hand but no one came. The test couldn't be stopped so I said, eh, what the heck. But the listening was ok tho.

Yeah, throughout the test all I was thinking, no, worrying about was the essay. But I got lucky, my topic was about: television destroy family and friend communication. Agree or not. Anyone got that one? Heheh, thanks to Mrs. Kieu Huong, who taught us how to do that one, I got a 5.5. whooo hooo. You A1 should move down to A3 and take her class. Oh, but she's in Canada right now. Oh, and you'll be in grade 13 next year, and Ams got no class for 13 graders. oh well.

Yep, $110 is what... 1.5 trieu dong, dat da man. Mo hoi cha me do vao cai test nay, khong the blow it duoc.

Anywayz, congrats to those who took it, and good luck to those who haven't.

And remember, buy Longman Toefl 4 in 1. Satisfaction Guarateed.

Ms. Kieu Huong is in Canada right now ??? Are you sure ? And why ?

 What did you say , Dũng?? Are you in US nơw, sếp Tùng???? I did not know about that. Where are you now, sếp?
To Hưng: Ms Kiều Hương is now in Canada, study somethings :D I am not sure. Do u know her too, my bro?????

In most parts. yeah.

To Tram : I think many stu know about Mrs Kieu Huong - famous for helping her stu with some tips on studyin' abroad & stuff like that. :D I yet have studied w/ her but did have some contacts in ESC. Clever woman, I guess. :)

Wow, never really paid any attention, but now that I do look, holy cow, your English is excellent, Nhung. Are you really still at Ams currently? I'd be surprised if you score lower than 630 on the TOEFL. That test must have looked like a no-brainer to you and you might even deserve a perfect score. If it is really in Ams that your English command was forged, those who were your instructors should be proud.

I don't think her teachers deserve much credit :)
She did have a lower TWE score than you though, Long :p ( No offence Nhung, I know you deserve a perfect score :) )

To Mr. Hoàng Long: Thank you very much; I am very flattered. In fact, I would have gotten a perfect TOEFL had it not been for the writing score

To Duc: My TWE was lower than yours, too. No?

But I got the easiest topic possible, and I personally believe that my writing skills are inferior to yours.

Mr.??? May I suggest that formality be ignored in our little conversation..
If it is true, as Đức amended me, that the teachers deserve few credits, how then, may I ask, have you attained this high level of English, being so young as you are. From my experiences with Ams students, I find it quite safe to say that judging from your language ability, you must be pretty impressive in other study subjects.
Anyway, I've heard that you're headed off to Harvard. You must be one of the first (if not the only) Vietnamese to enter the school as an undergrad. I hope to see you soon since Amherst is merely 1.5hr away from Boston.

Whoops.. Sorry, you're quite wrong in assuming that I am any better than my classmates. To be honest, I think I was enormously lucky to have been accepted Early Action, as the Regular Admissions competition is fierce this year ^_^ Đức's unfair in discrediting my teachers entirely like that. But I don't know how to answer your question, Long. As I have said on some thread, it really was a gradual process in which my English improved bit by bit. School leaves me no time to 'study' English traditionally, so I absorb new knowledge mostly through reading books and newspapers, watching TV, exchanging emails, and surfing the Net (all in English, of course).
I applied to your school, too, Long (gosh, people must be teasing you all the time because of your name :") ). It would be a regular dilemma if I were accepted at both schools, esp. now that you've transferred to Amherst :)) Well, I hope Harvard's finaid decision arrives in time so that I can withdraw my application from other places.
