I am sorry for your losses. However it was your fault.
The reason for attacking you twice was simple: my fleet
wasn't strong enough to break your defense at once.
The reasons for attacking you in the first place were
multiple: (i) you are alone, (ii) plenty of resources concentrated on one planet, (iii) no garrison (strikers are more effective inside the station, outside they are just cannon fodder; with 100 strikers inside I wouldn't dare a siege, not because I couldn't win it but because casualties would be high), (iv) your fleet in the orbit was an easy target (big enough to give many military points for destroying it, but not big enough to damage me significantly). Hope this information will be useful.
You did avoid my first attack. It was clever.
