3 against 49 =1 vs 20 ( làm tròn cho nó dễ so ) ----> chances of being alive ( in more exact words , not being killed ) are much slimmer

At last...God (or otherwise known as HAO) has granted my induction into the HAO family...having signed off my ridiculously bulked yahoo email, I rushed into the website, not minding all the labels and headings ---> jumped to the English section. metal, nude, punk, everything that rocks, yes I do...though my favorite bands are actually Metallica, Pantera, and Nirvana!

Although, almost everyone I know who likes rock has liked those three bands at one point or another. I myself romanced my way through my first relationship to the mind-warping music of Metallica >_<. Strangely enough, my real taste is very shallow and tends towards mainstream stuff like No Doubt and what my friends endearingly label "Dido and sh*t like that". I have really nice friends...

Do you happen to like Sex Pistol, Trang?
 
uhm, I'm fine with Pantera, Nirvana and especially (can-die-for) Metallica. The problem is, as broad as it may sounds, "liking everything that rocks" sounds extremely fake to me. (How the hell can a rock fan dedicate his/her love to both the godly Metallica and punk wannabes! Gee, I'm being conservative!)
But, btw, Dido is a real talent!
 
There is no charade in liking two different lines of rock, despite the fact that yes, punk rock derived from the legendiary former ,furthermore, don't take an expression too literally, it's just an expression and if it is offensive or illogical to you, then please take my apology as an explanation...just out of curiosity, what other bands do you like?
To Chi Mai: I do actually like Sex Pistol but they are not much of a favorite (don't take the avatar literally either). I really admire Dido too! have you heard Norah? I love her voice, too bad her second album didn't sell too well!
 
Yeah, the avatar is a little misleading. My friend owns a Sex Pistol button with the UK flag and, you know...Oh, and I make no comment on punk because: a/I don't really know much about it and b/We might start a fight XD

I'm glad not everybody shares my friends' opinion. Although, how would you admire a musician exactly? I listen to thier music, and I suppose I could admire some of the really progressive ones (like U2 for example),but I don't suppose you could respect someone's talent unless you had some knowledge in the field yourself. Do any of you play music by any chance?

My opinion on Norah Jones is that her music certainly is different. I like "Come Away With Me", and some other songs, but I really don't like the second album. So, that explains why it didn't sell, 'cause it didn't appeal to mainstream buffs like me :)
 
punk rock uses mainly power+barre chords, simple riffs and melodies (you can tell by watching punk video clips, or by listenning to punk songs, they [rockers] mostly strum down with fixed left-hand movements [chords]. Wherearea heavy metal, power metal... focus on both chords strumming and solos (using a various number of scales) [sometimes in the middle of songs, you hear the lead guitar playing a series of notes that sound "groupable"].

Hi every1, im new here. I've just began to be an Amser. I think it'll be great if i can know more about our school through the olders (and to improve my English, cos it's bad...).
I also like Rock music. My favorite band is Pink Floyd- a Psychedelic band.Actually, I like both Modern and Classic Rock. I can play drums and guitar (just a liitle :) ).
