English club

it's a not scholarship,it's a test to check our skill.Then if our skill is enough,we can attend a training class to get scholarship.If our isn't enough,we have to attend an English class before attending a training class.

It's partially correct. RV does not offer any scholarship for us students, but after the course we will have the chance to compete with other students for a scholarship in a Singapore school associating with RV. The purpose of the course was originally not to turn us into some kind of scholarship hunter but to intergrate our mind with the process of solving Maths, Physics and Chemistry in English (or at least that's what I believe :D).
However, the cost for the course is 500$ (last time I checked) and that's not a very pretty number. Please think deliberately before making any decision here. You could either buy at least 15 "xịn" books on the internet to practice for those assessment tests or spend half a year crawling to Phạm Ngọc Thạch street to attend those exhauting classes.

Edit: In case you haven't guessed, I do not study at RV and I have an extremely bad image of it glued in my mind. So please forgive me if I've made any allegedly insulting remark here :D. All I want is world peace :))!!!!!

Right, but i detested this center because when I wanted to get the form for SCGS( I don't remember) scholarship, they said that I'm too old to get it, do I didn't try any more. HhUhu, but then I found out that there were even 89 students took part in.
 
I'm a new member. My English is not good so I want to join the English club. I want to improve my English so much, please help me:)
 
Weo-sờ-căm Windy young sis.!!! Unfortunately, no one seemingly doesn't pay any attention to E anymore :(. Maybe a thick blanket of dust has fiercely affected the existence of this box IMO. Yes, people do read it but they don't reply or contribute anything ( just as I do :D). Hopefully, today that apathy will bounce backwards 0:) . Once again, greetings, Windy!!!

Chào!Để tổ chức một buổi sinh hoạt CLB Tiếng Anh thì không còn gì hay hơn là tổ chức một gameshow English.Bạn nào có ý tưởng về một trò chơi như thế không nhỉ?
 
So when/where is this English club gameshow taking place or is it just a online sort of thing?
 
The sad thing is ostensibly no one seems to be interested in this club anymore so if there's a contest taking place or whatsoever, I don't dare to hope that there's gonna be a difference. For instance, if we try to appeal people to enroll in a project or a contest, how da hell can we succeed if we're the sole people that talks. And to conjure up a contest from air is not easy if you're not a wizard, rite?
So, my opinion, I believe someone(s) should take responsibility to organize for such a thing. There will have to be host, sponsors, examiner staff, etc. And online is the best solution for this math pro IMO. Cos not every HAO's mems lives in Ha Noi, eh?

hey guys, do you have any plans or any ideas 'bout an English club where everybody speaks English ?? I want to find one, to make friends, to improve my speaking skill ( damn, that's my weakest skill ).
Does any of you know anything 'bout hellohanoi ? I've heard that hellohanoi is reopened, and is under reconstructing ;). I'm not so sure ....
 
Hihi, well, it's good to have an EC in HAO. I suppose it could be very interesting with everyone who wants to talk and exchange information in English.

About forming an EC, I suppose that we could have enough members, and at least, we have to attract other people to the club. Currently, the number of members seems to be ... erhh ... small. So, may we wait for a period?

Well, if you want to join some ECs in university :p I have one :D It's my EC in HMU (Ha Noi Medical University). Currently, due to business of examination, HMU EC is close and we'll open again in, perhaps, February. That's really an interesting activity to me. I have joined this club since my first year in HMU.

About the activities (maybe it's a reference), we have a periodical activity called "General discussion". In a discussion which is held once 2 weeks, we divide the attendees into several groups. Having a designated topic for each discussion, we try to have a conversation with everyone in our group around the topic in about 1 hour. After, it's often games or performance.

Currently, we have changed the method of holding a discussion. Coming to a discussion, maybe, it's not only talking and discussing, but also watching a film and commenting about it. It might also be a totally gameshow, etc.

In addition, we have another activity named "Big show". In one year, we only have one or two. The Big show is a great show which you can find a lot of performances, plays and games. We tried to make it as interesting as possible.

Besides, HMU EC has a lot of extra-activities like "Medical discussion", many meetings with foreign students, etc. (and we also have some volunteering activities, he he).

I think HAO EC could also have some activities like that :p
