VietNamNet Bridge - Ten outstanding Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City students are now in the Republic of Korea to join the Youth Camp for Asia’s Future organised from July 31 to August 20.
With the theme ‘Youth’s Challenges and Asia’s New Future’, the camp has the participation of 270 young people who are outstanding students aged from 17-24 coming from 23 countries, including China, Japan, Mongolia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and the Philippines.
Of the ten Vietnamese students to the camp, five are outstanding university students and five are good writers who took part in an English writing contest on the development of Asia launched by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in May 2007.
The camp includes activities like speeches, seminars, Korean language learning, cuisine, and industrial zone visiting.
In particularly, groups from different countries will have chances to introduce their culture to each other through a small exhibition and to give art performances by themselves.
This is the second time the Youth Camp for Asia’s Future has been organised by the Korean Government Youth Commission. The camp is expected to be held annually to strengthen friendship and cultural understanding among youth in Asia.
