VIETABROADER CONFERENCE 2005
PASSING OF THE TORCH
http://www.vaconference.org
Saturday June 25 2005 in Ho Chi Minh City
Sunday July 17 2005 in Hanoi
In less than two years, VietAbroader has paved the way to US higher education for many economically disadvantaged students in Vietnam, while developing a reputation as a popular meeting point for Vietnamese youth.
Following this initial extraordinary success, VietAbroader seeks further innovative ways to reach out a wider pool of motivated students with interests in US higher education. We strive to accomplish our work through our flagship program, VietAbroader Conference, held in Vietnam every summer.
WHY APPLY
1. Get most useful and most reliable college admissions advice
Our workshop leaders are all Vietnamese students who have gained admission and acquired full scholarships to some of America’s finest institutions, including Amherst College, Brown University, Princeton University, Stanford University, Swarthmore College, Wesleyan University, Williams College, and Yale University. More interestingly, most of us are among the first native Vietnamese to enroll in the aforementioned colleges. Unlike many Vietnamese students who have been admitted to American colleges with help of Study Abroad Counselling Agencies (Tư Vấn Du Học) who would charge students a large fee, we VietAbroaders have gone through the admission and scholarship application process by ourselves. Therefore, we strongly believe our practical tips and hands-on experience will give you a leg up in competition and boost your chance of admission to your dream school significantly.
2. Get individual help
This half-day conference consists of four workshops on college admissions, essay writing, standardized tests and extracurricular activities. During the training, students will participate in interactive activities in small group settings led by student leaders. This is a rare opportunity for you to learn more about America’s top schools, college admissions’ most well-kept secrets, and networking (chit-chat ) with the insiders.
3. Gain access to valuable admission preparation materials
Our staff have committed endless hours to put together a unique admission kit for you. This kit features useful college admissions strategies obtained from hands-on experience as well as most up-to-date information about the New SAT and the New TOEFL. Access to these rare materials will significantly enhance your knowledge about US college admissions as applied to Vietnamese students’ circumstances.
4. Have fun
We are neither strict college counselors nor tight-mouthed admission officers – we are students. We are just like you! You will find us like-minded and equally passionate about having lots of fun. You can expect to hear many crazy stories, participate in many fun games, and be bombarded with many … jokes. In short, you will like us, the way we should like you.
Sounds like fun? If so, we invite you to register for the conference. To ensure quality of the conference, we need to limit the number of participants. Therefore, we urge you to register as soon as possible, and please take the registration seriously. Let us please remind you that this conference will be absolutely FREE. We are serious about helping you to gain admission to best schools in the US. In fact, we are counting hours to finally meet you in person! We hope to see you soon.
WE WILL STOP TAKING STUDENTS AS WE REACH OUR LIMIT! REGISTER NOW!
