Eligibility
All Vietnamese students who are no younger than 15 years old and no older than 20 years old, as of the contest deadline of September 4, 2005.
Goals
VietAbroader Essay Contest 2005 aims to help young Vietnamese students:
Gain hands-on experience of writing an admissions essay
Develop valuable writing skills and the ability to effectively express themselves through writing
Discover themselves and their true potential
Requirements (read carefully)
Essays must be in English and not more than 600 typed words
You can submit only one essay with one of the following topics:
1. Give an example of a time you had to operate outside your comfort zone. Describe the situation, your actions and its impact on you.
2. Describe and evaluate your formula for success in life.
3. Topic of your choice.
All entries must be sent to [email protected] by 11:30pm September 4, 2005 ( Vietnam time) and must include all the following info:

Evaluation
Criteria:
Writing quality and clarity: 30%
Originality & creativity: 30%
Focus: 20%
Maturity of thinking and writing: 20%
Process: The two coordinators will process all entries before they are sent to judges for review. Essays will be evaluated, and awarded, at a sole discretion of a panel of judges who will have no knowledge of the author. All decisions by the panel of judges are final.

Second & third Winners
An award letter issued by VietAbroader
