Tutorial - Plastic type

New Member
Plastic Type 1
Start out a new 72 dpi, RGB image large enough to fit your text.

Grab the Horizontal Type Tool (T)

, click on your image and type in your text. Note: Color doesn't matter at this point.

Go to the bottom of the Layers palette and click the Add a Layer Style-button

, Choose Blending Options... from the menu. Make your seting like these:

Move on to Color Overlay:

Next up is Drop Shadow:

Let's add a little Outer Glow:

Time for some Inner Shadow:

Puh! Thats it and as you can see here to the left the type is slightly transparent. Nice huh?
