Start out a new 72 dpi, RGB image large enough to fit your text.
Grab the Horizontal Type Tool (T)
, click on your image and type in your text. Note: Color doesn't matter at this point.
-----------------------
Go to the bottom of the Layers palette and click the Add a Layer Style-button
, Choose Blending Options... from the menu. Make your seting like these:
Move on to Color Overlay:
--------------------------------
Next up is Drop Shadow:
--------------------------------
Let's add a little Outer Glow:
---------------------------------
Time for some Inner Shadow:
--------------------------------
And a little Inner Glow:
--------------------------------
On to Bevel and Emboss:
--------------------------------
Next stop is Contour:
--------------------------------
Finally some Satin:
--------------------------------
Puh! Thats it and as you can see here to the left the type is slightly transparent. Nice huh?
