Should PE be replaced by sports?

Once a week for 45 minutes, does Physical Education (PE) have any effect on us - the ones who always have to worry about PE grades?
There should be a change..
What would happen if sports are trained in highschools, grades for PE are eliminated?
If you can choose, what sport do you want to play at highschool?
What do you guys think?

To Dieuhau: What about your school? They teach sports, don't they? I agree that PE isn't effective. But to teach sports in Vietnamese school may be rather difficult, not to say impossible. For example, I can swim and I'd like to choose swimming as my sport, so I would have to swim in the air!!!
Another reason is that we must study too much subjects, so how can we, at the same time, study all of them and have time to practice sports? I often go to the swimming-pool, but every time when there are too much problems and homework, I can't go.
In our school, the only sport can be taught is Basketball. That's too much in comparison with the other school.

To Tu: Welcome to English club. (So glad to see a fresh face :D )
I agree that our school lacks the facilities for teaching certain sports. However, we can still train basketball, soccer, badminton, track, tennis (remember, we do have a tennis court) and so on.
About the time, I don't think it will be a problem. If we know how to arrange the time, to practice twice a week is absolutely possible. Personnally, here I have tons of homework. So after 2 hours practicing everyday, I have to finish my homework by any means. And I made it. Just a thought..
What about other people?
