Dear friends,
Have you ever joined with Hanoikids in “Pieces of culture” (POC) programs?
Over the half of the year, we have been holding four amazing and interesting POCs about Kimchi of Korea, Didgeridoo of Australia, wedding of British and Football of Italy. Indeed, the colorful success of these four programs has helped a number of youngsters and cultural-lovers discover more and understand more about not only Vietnam’s but also globe’s cultures.
After three months of summer vacation, schools have started and now, October is coming…
To fall in line with the grand October of 1000 year Thang Long – Hanoi, Hanoikids is holding POC No.05 that is about traditional handicrafts. This month, Japan – homeland of cherry blossom and many exquisite arts and crafts, is chosen to be our next destination. The beauty of the country that we would like to present to you is “Clay flower”. In parallel, “To he” of Vietnam will be the cultural representative.
Coming to POC No.05: Clay Flower (Japan) vs. To He (Vietnam)
Venue: Room 902, Building C, Ha Noi University
– Km9, Nguyen Trai Str., Thanh Xuan Dist., Hanoi.
Time: 2:30 p.m, Sunday, October 3rd 2010.
You will have a chance to watch, listen and discuss about issues relating to these two special handicrafts. Especially, you will have chances to create your own “To He” thanks to the help of an experienced craftsman coming from Xuan La village- the traditional village of “To He”.
So what are you waiting for?
