HAO, Internet -- The case between Tung Vu and the board 01-04 seems to get more and more intense, and it appears that this case is not going to come to an end soon, at least not as early as other optimistic politicians expected. Earlier this week, Tung Vu was convicted of abusing his priviliges as the moderator of board 01-04 and was sentenced a suspension for a limited length of time. However, as the case goes on, Tung's colleague, Ngan Bui, made an astonishing statement when she revealed this was not the first time that Tung abused his priviliges. She also mentiond a case when Tung used fake identity, which led to the conviction of former moderator Phuong Le. Tung pled not guilty and has just given some new evidences to prove his innocence. He also asked Ngan to confront with him in court. Fed Judge Ha Mai is thinking about summoning some witnesses. Tung is currently suspended, however, he is showing his continuos efforts to be back in position as soon as possible.

In another development, Ngan Bui told HAO that she was thinking about retiring from the moderating position of the 01-04 board. She also stated that the main reason behind her decision is unsettled arguments between her and Tung, and that she wants to pay more attention to the Music board.

The case is to be tried in court this week.

oh, yeah. I think it's secret. Shuold u tell us about this ???

On May 5th, 2003, Hưng Hồ has been accused of betraying the administrative board. He has revealed some top-secret scandal concerning at least two moderators in HAO. Under strict and usually unfair rules of HAO's B.O.S, the English board is certain that he will be given severe warning (messages from Hà Mai, one of the dictators). Linh Vũ, a second class admin has given him advice on this matter, as she is an experienced rule-breaker. " Be calm and be subdued", she said :p " Don't worry because you will get used to it soon." However, Hưng has been considered a good thumb (or any finger) of Monster ( eh sorry Monsieur:D) Mai, that means he will not be dismissed or suspended. Certainly, he will not be a thumb any longer ( now to be a little finger is what he should hope for:)))

Lạc đề :D ====> REMOVED

According to home rules (created today by me- a less-than-a-penny-worth administrator), reporter Hưng has broken an invisible law in English board: talking outside the main theme ( which is about the scandal in 01-04 board). The post will be proudly homed in Thông Tin board, one of the most tabloid and useless medium ever existed in HAO.

More about the campaign:

As a less-than-nothing-worth admin, Linh Vũ will voice against the existence of this tabloid no matter how strong the resistance of the B.O.S. The campaign cannot continue as scheduled because of long-lasting delays of renovation in HAO, where the politburo is so used to bulky aparatus that they are afraid of change. In the struggle for a more effective administrative system, Vũ has to trade off many things : a good reputation, finance and time. However, hard as the work is, Vũ in co-operation with many open-minded and full-hearted members in HAO will at least try another time. The propect seems to be darkening, but keep on, guys.:D

( Hưng, you know what? Some undercover visitors have been around. We will continue, ok? At least, a push like that may be good now and then. I am really when our efforts bring out too little:(.)

PS: Tùng, continue with the second chapter;)

EVENING NEWS

An unexpected incident occured late Monday, May 5, 2003 at 06:52 PM VNT on HAO, English Board. A post by Tung Vu, a controversial poster and sub-administrator (ie. moderator) at HAO, triggered a series of replies at the board's record rate.

Initial reception of Mr. Vu's promissing multiple-part debut 'Story of a poor Moderator.' was mixed. Detractors' arguments mainly center on pointing out Mr. Vu's faulty use of grammar, but are dismissed by the majority. Meanwhile, according to unofficial sources, the board's mods seem to welcome the new development in their domain after numerous failed attemps to mobilize outside-participation. Ms. Linh Vu, one of the mods, herself was the first to answer the post, making effort to maintain a steady flow of posts at this critical stage.

Mr. T. (name concealed for anonymity), an on-line witness, reports: 'I was struck when I logged on to HAO last night and received notice from its search engine that there was a new post on the English board.' Posts have been scarce during the past weeks due to the final exams at Hanoi-Amsterdam High School. 'I immediately sent private messages to everyone on my buddy list. - It doesn't very happen very often, you know', Mr. T. continues.

New posts kept coming in stably at night and during the course of the day. Until recently, no definite response has been published by the higher authorities. But it is hoped that the event rendered a positive effect on the English board.

English board's member confidence leaps

End of final examinations spurs biggest jump since the end of the first Moderator War 2 months earlier.
May 5, 2003: 1:02 PM EDT

HAO, Internet - English board's member confidence soared after the Tung Vu-led war with the board 01-04, seeing its biggest gain since the end of March, a research group said Tuesday.

The Conference Board, a business research group based in New York, said its closely watched index of member's posting rate jumped to 10 in early May from a revised 0.01 in March.

The jump of 9.99 points was the biggest since a 8.7-point jump between February and March 2003, at the end of the Regular Decision deadline. Economists, on average, expected confidence to rise to just 68.7, according to a Reuters poll. The confidence numbers are important because English board's members are undoubtedly the most influential members in HAO.

The board's index of member expectations about posting conditions in the next six months jumped to 84.8 from 61.4 in March, while the index of current conditions rose to 75.3 from 61.4 in March. The two components are averaged to make the headline index.

"The swift outcome of the final examinations has also helped quell members' short-term concerns," said Lynn Franco, director of the Conference Board's Consumer Research Center. "While an increase of this magnitude occurred after the Regular Decision's deadline in February, this post-examination surge differs in that both components of the index posted gains."

Consumer confidence tumbled to 10-year lows in the months leading up to the final examination, but a post-exam rebound was widely expected. Recent confidence measures from the University of Michigan and from ABC News and Money magazine had also shown a rebound.

Of course, most analysts are quick to point out that consumer confidence doesn't always reveal much about the future course of member's posting. Most members felt happy in the days after April 1st when decision letters arrive, for example, but stopped to post unexpextedly.

Most economists believe that if members are to continue to post enough to support the forum, the HAO market will eventually rebound. Many think that many other boards will be more likely to hire moderators in the post-HAO conference period, as any uncertainty about the outcome of the war with Iraq and SARS has disappeared.

Other economists, however, think HAO-market's pain could continue for months, as the administrative board continue to try to renovate their system after the late-2002 posting bubble.

Here are more news on Mr. T, one of the most loyal customer of English board (under the pressure of sb :p). This year the moderators of English board will award him with a gold medal as the most careful reader of this board (of course moderators and Mr. Admin are illegible to participate:p).

Mod Linh Vũ, as interviewed today, says, " I'm very happy to have such kind of customers. Certainly, most of visitors are moderators' friends and enemies:D, who want to find out what we are doing out there. (English board is located far from the HAO center, not easy to navigate its whereabouts :))). Every day, the view times increase quickly but few posts. however, we are satisfied, because at least our posts are read.

She also has one question for Mr. T, who will receive the honor prize (invaluable:D), " Why did you send PMs to your buddies? It's strange, just like you discover something rrrreaeaeallllllyyyy extraordinary, or the reporter lied to impress readers:D".

INTERNAL NEWS

This is a sad day for HAO News. Under the fickle management of Ms. Linh Vu, it officially turned in to a Green Cabbage tabloid today :D A halt in the quantity of posts during the past hours already forebode this lapse in quality.

By dispersing gossip about a contact, Ms. Linh apparently attempted to publicly question the integrity of a co-reporter. When asked, one of the victims concerned admitted: 'I consider this a personal assault and demand immediate reparation.' In another interview, it was revealed that she may confront Ms. Linh in private before seeking professional advise on this intricate issue.

Ms. Linh Vu has been adviced not to voice her conjectures too vocally. Disclosing privacy information of informants is considered a violation of journalism laws, and may result in ugly legal (uh, emotional) proceedings.

The gossip circulated fast, and already generated more rumors. Pleas to the management board to take measures for a peaceful conciliation are still waiting for response.

Thumbs up for the new tide!

A reliable source describes that young people today, especially those @ HAO are creative by nature. Yet the observers of this particular board cannot help but confess that they are especially struck by how creative these youngsters turn out to be.

Stay tuned.

INTERNAl News (continued)

As cornered by critics today on the matter of revealing some private relationship, Ms. Vu explained,” The public has the rights to know what is going on. They have got winds of this for long. Furthermore, the so-called victims have decided to publicize their relationship with a non-processed picture.:D”. Ms. Linh Vu also said that everyone is satisfied as the mass media have done the work extraordinarily, keeping the public well-informed and advertise for celebrities free of charge :p.

The news will be focused on Ms. My Huyen, the founder of HAO scholarship, whose future is among one of the largest and most honorable prizes in the Galaxy.:D
