Personally speaking, I love and admire Princess Diana for her personality and what she has done to our world. Just saw this topic " Is Princess Diana's legacy still alive?" from Reader Digest and am thinking why shouldn't we have an open discussion about that.

It’s been five years since her tragic death in a Paris car crash. Do you think Princess Diana is still an icon? Whether you loved her, loathed her, or wondered what all the fuss was about, take this opportunity to share your thoughts on the People's Princess.

I have watched a show about the princees ànd hẻ personal life.
All I have seen from thí show is that she has lived a horrible lìe and her life is just a protract suffrance from physical and emotional sickness.
They even said that she thought about suicide somethimes.
I am not a fan of hẻ but I feel sympathetic and somewhat sad for this princess.
By that way, there is no doubt about her beatiful heart.
Do you want to talk more aout some ò her scandalous stories

It is an open discussion, so you can write any story you want. However, obeying HAO's rules, we should not go too deep into political side, apart from that, please feel free to express your own opinion.

Diana was named the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the Royal Family. It is not too proud to say that without her, the Royal family has definitely lost their glory. I love Diana for her simple personality that made her become so popular. "She touched the people's hearts and entered their souls". Do you agree that good people like that are so rare in this world? Nice things will never last too long...:( :(( :((

I once read a book called 'Diana: Her True Story' by Andrew Morton. Basically, it's her biography, written sometime before hers and Charles' divorce. I was especially touched by the chapter on her relationship with the royal family, a precarious condition at best. Before reading it, I hadn't paid any attention to Diana at all, even though that was the year after her death. Learning of the many trials that she had had to endure and her amazing accomplishments made me forever in awe of the great lady.

According to the book, Diana did in fact attempt suicide: she threw herself down a flight of stairs after a particularly nasty argument with Charles. I felt the most for her during the period succeeding the royal wedding, when she suffered terribly from bulimia nervosa and post-natal depression.

this is for EHAO. I have just sumed up your posts. Have a look at it and make any changes if you want.

Is Diana’s legacy still alive?

What was it about Diana, Princess of Wales, that brought such huge numbers of people from all walks of life literally to their knees after her death in 1997? What was her special appeal, not just to British subjects but also to people the world over?
No one can deny that Diana was beautiful in a fresh-faced, English, outdoors-girl kind of way. Diana’s big blue eyes could melt the hearts of men and women through an expression of vulnerability. Please don’t hurt me, they seemed to say. Moreover, she became well known for her support of charity projects, and is given considerable credit for her campaigning against the use of landmines and diminishing the stigma associated with AIDS. Added to this, her sudden and tragic death has turned Diana into a legacy.
In a discussion on Diana’s legacy, Nguyen Van Mai shows her great adoration towards Diana.

Diana has also been an interesting topic for books and articles. Some books are really tribute to her. Some are just an intervention in her privacy. Below is Hoang Chi Mai’s short review on the book “Diana: her true story” by Andrew Morton.

Although her life might be a tragedy, it has been remembered and honored. Diana will still be an icon for British royal family as celebrity who devoted her life to charity.
