Hanoi, Hanoi songs and me

I did not realise how much I love Hanoi until I have to be far away from it

I miss the sights of Hanoi, seem so normal but have been parts of my life

I can remember me and my friends go along the streets of Hanoi, after classes, enjoy riding under the shadow of those tall green trees on hot summer days.

I can still see the rain pouring down, on summer afternoons, suddenly, cool and heavy and then from nowhere, the sun comes out, red yellow and charming

Perhaps autumn is a beautiful season when all leaves dress in their best .
So, Hanoi is in autumn. The sky is blue and so high, the time when pupils back to school. something pure and bright

Autumn in Hanoi brings back the calmness and tranquillity to one's soul. Gentle breeze, falling leaves on the pavements, I find some quiet corners among the busy Hanoi

I remember Hanoi food, simple and sophisticated, Hanoi has the best food per square km, someone said, I find it true, and if you have bad food, you are not in the wrong city, just the wrong place

In winter Hanoi is still beautiful, but more reserved, grey and cold. I can feel that chilly wind blow against my face, and the sight of people a bit in a hurry at the end of the day, perhaps heading towards homes

Hanoi songs, to me, like good friends who help to capture those pictures again, bringing back some sweet memories

I think most songs about Hanoi are beautiful. It's amazing, the way how all writers compose such beautiful works, all about Hanoi but all in different tastes

Hanoi songs conjure up the images of Hanoi in its four seasons, its people and history, the ancient breath

There's something you can just feel inside when you listen to Hanoi songs, so spiritual and uplifting.

Hanoi songs urge you to come back, grab the lost moments yourself, 'cos you feel when it's gone it's gone...

always and forever - Hanoi - my childhood, good times, and friends and...Hanoi...
;)

i like the way you feel about hanoi and i think i have the same feeling when i was here.
we dont know what we had until it's gone

Dearest Trang,
I bet you still remember the extremely hot days, when you had to ride your moped to school under the sun. September's weather was like killing you...and yeah, again, I bet you hated it. Oh, and how cruel is it that there are almost no trees on the way to your school? Funny but true, you should be missing it like crazy now. You would rather be killed by the sun at home than be killed by the loneliness you are experiencing in a strange and far away land..
Not everyone of us knows how to treasure our worthy belongings until we get to be far away from them, or until they suddenly and smoothly fall out of our hands. Well, but friend, be strong! I know you can make it through, you can handle it like you already did with all other tough things that came to your life...
Some more years is a long way to go....but it's short if you compare it to a long long time you will get to be with your dear Hanoi after you get done with this foggy England. Who knows if you will miss England too then ;)

Chere PBD,
Thanks a ton for sharing your kind thoughts with me and your support ;)

TRang, honey, don't you miss it when you skipped a class at your university and joined your friend's class at her university (which is next door to yours) ? Wasn't it fun? Oh, and the fun part was that you got caught by that young&ugly teacher for not being a class member but sitting in the class ;) Let me tell you a little bit more.... You got mad and came talk to her at the end...and she ended up apolozising to you  Remember?
Should that be a hint?
