Intro
Chieng: Hello Anyang Language Highschool! How r u feeling? Let me introduce ourselves. My name's Van and this is Cuong. We're so honored 2 b ur MCs for today's show. This is the 1st time I do something like this. I have to say I'm very nervous 2 b standing in front of such big audience.

Nit: Well, don't be. Just take a deep breath. As u all may know, we're 17 students from Hanoi-Amsterdam highschool in Vietnam. I think all of us feel rather lucky 2 b here, representing not only our school but also our country, culture and people.

C: That's a great responsibility for us to handle. So we've been preparing 4 this show for weeks, hoping to bring out the best of Vietnamese music & choreography.

N: Now, I won't waste anymore of ur time by introducing the first act. Our performers, dressed in the traditional Vietnamese long dress, will be dancing on the background music of a song called "Vietnam – our home country".

(Vietnam que huong toi)

C: Wow, the lyrics of that previous song is incredibly beautiful. It tells how Vietnam is a small country but rich in natural resources and breathtaking landscapes. And the intelligent, hard-working Vietnamese are truly what make it so special.

N: I can't agree more. Well, the next song is a folk song called "Beo dat may troi". It's hard to translate into English because it's a metaphor (an du). Let's say, the song expresses the loyalty & faithfulness of a guy towards his lover, esp when he's missing her.
C: I love the harmonious melody of it – so romantic. Please welcome to the stage our trio: Viet Anh, Duc Tuan & Ngoc Thang (chuoi qua).

(Beo dat may troi)

N: (Speak some basic Korean)
C: Hey, what r u talking about? I don't understand.
N: I'm obviously trying to pick up some Korean.
C: Oh yeah, none of us speaks Korean. Such a shame.
N: But I know one girl who can SING in Korean.
C: Really? That'd b great. Do u wanna hear some? (Ask audience).
N: Thank u. This is Minh Chi, singing "…."

(Nhac Han)

N: I don't know but I think she sings pretty well, rite?
C: Yeah, I hope the audience liked it.
N: U know what, I'm thinking a girl in the long dress – "ao dai" is a typical symbol of Vietnamese women. "Ao dai" contributes to bringing out the tenderness and gracefulness in a woman.
C: The white "ao dai" used to be, or is, the school uniform for girls. That's why the dress also carries the meaning of purity & innocence.
N: Interesting. So the next performance is a song named "Ao dai oi" – a fun song about puppy love (dung k may??). I hope u enjoy it.

(Ao dai oi)

N: Uhm, do u know which performance comes after this?
C: Of course I do. Ladies, we're about to reveal our secret weapon. Our next performer has the best male vocal in our group, he's also one of the most charming & handsome guys :D R u ready? Plz give it up 4 Khuat Viet Anh, singing "Yellow" – originally written & performed by Coldplay. Enjoy urselves.

(Yellow)

C: That was a sad song. I wanna spice things up a little.
N: Don't worry, they will. Next up, 6 of our beautiful & talented girls will be singing and dancing to a folk tune called "Cay da quan doc". Plz make some noise!

(Cay da quan doc)

C: OMG, the show's been a blast!
N: And we're coming to the end.
C: It's such a pity. Standing here turns out 2 feel so good I don’t ever wanna get off stage.
N: I'm afraid u hav 2, whether u want or not. However, before we end the show, we hav 1 more song 2 dedicate 2 u guys. Here's all our students. Together we'll sing "……"

(Dong ca)

C: Thank u very much. U've been amazing for the whole show with all ur (thunderous) applause.
N: We really appreciate it. Hopefully u like our performances & get some more ideas abt Vietnam.
Both: Now, goodbye & hav a nice day.

(Tang hoa, om nhau + di ve)

Ôi Chiêng, tao sắp chết vì buồn cười đây =)) :)) :))

Why not

Chung may hoc hat bai nay nhe! De lam.

http://nghenhac.info/nhacphim_pm.asp?iFile=18473&iType=22

Why not (Hilary Duff)

U act like u don't know me when u c me on the street
Making like I turn u off when I know u think I'm sweet
It don't hav 2 b like that I guess u'r insecure
If this is what's on ur mind then I might answer sure

So I walk a little slower and try 2 catch your eyes
Sometimes it's so hard 2 C the good things passing by
There may never B a sign, no flashing neon light
Telling U 2 make your move or when the time is right
Chorus
(So) why not (why not) take a crazy chance?
Why not (why not) do a crazy dance?
If U lose the moment, U might lose a lot
So why not (why not) why not?

(Why not take a crazy chance) x2

U always dress in yellow when U wanna dress in gold
Instead of listening 2 your heart, U do just what U're told
U keep waiting where U R 4 what U'll never know
So let's just get in-2 your car and go, baby, go
(Chorus)
Oh, I could B the one 4 U, oh yeah, may-B yes, may-B no
Oh, it could B the thing 2 do, what I'm saying is U gotta let me know
U'll never get 2 heaven or even 2 L.A. if U don't believe there's a way
Why not (why not) take your star from the sky?
Why not (why not) spread your wings and fly?
Oh, it might take a little and it might take a lot
But why not (why not) why not?
(Chorus)

(Ao dai oi)

N: (Cam 1 cai non la) U see this chonical-shaped hat, known as "non" in Vietnamese, has become a very useful item for Vietnamese women. It was used as a shield to protect them from sun and rain, a glass to get water when they're thirsty, a fan when they are hot, and a basket to help carry things.
C: But in the old days, another kind of flat-top hat, called "non quai thao" was often seen during festivals.
N: U'll soon find out what "non quai thao" looks like in the next act.
C: Our performer is quite a professional dancer. She will use only the hat & her body language to send a message 2 u audience. Please give a hand clap to Ngoc Trang, dancing with "non quai thao".

(Mua non quai thao)

C: Uhm, do u know what comes after this?
N: Of course I do because I'm going to sing.
C: Huh, what a surprise. I didn't know u could sing. Jst kidding.
N: Let me welcome to the stage my co-performer, Khuat Viet Anh. This song is called "……". I'd like to dedicate it to (…… and my lovely partner MC, Thu Van).
C: Thanks a lot, I'll watch u guys backstage.

(…..)
