Inaki Saez has called up Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia for the friendly encounter with Ecuador next week, but the rest of his squad is all too familiar.

The Spain boss was expected to test a number of new players, but has only opted to blood the young duo.

Alsono has become a local hero at Real Sociedad with his superb playmaking displays during the club's tilt at the title.

Atletico Madrid's Luis Garcia has also made headlines with his impressive goalscoring record that has lead Barcelona to attempt to activate a buy-out clause they have for their former player.

Saez has gone for experience in the forward line after losing Raul, Diego Tristan, Fernando Torres and Raul Tamudo through injury.

Real Madrid's Fernando Morientes has kept his place in the squad despite falling out favour at club level and he is joined by teammate Guti.

Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Santiago Canizares (Valencia)

Defenders: Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Raul Bravo (Leeds United), Ivan Helguera (Real Madrid), Michel Salgado (Real Madrid), Agustin Aranzabal (Real Sociedad), Carlos Marchena (Valencia)

Midfielders: Joseba Etxeberria (Athletic Bilbao), Luis Garcia (Atletico Madrid), Xavi (Barcelona), Joaquin (Real Betis), Juan Carlos Valeron (Deportivo Coruna), Xabi Alonso (Real Sociedad), David Albelda (Valencia), Ruben Baraja (Valencia), Vicente (Valencia)

Forwards: Jose Mari (Atletico Madrid), Guti (Real Madrid), Fernando Morientes (Real Madrid)
