It is undeniable that the best ideas are usually formed by different ideals; and a colorful and fantastic world can never occur in a society of one person. We, the current students and alumni of Hanoi-Amsterdam high school, realized the essential value of integration, hence launched English HAO (E-HAO) website in the hope for a new understanding of the world, a cordial friendship with people around the globe, and a chance for intellectual development.
The mission of HAO is to serve as a bridge to bring people and ideas all around the world closer together, form good relations and partnership with educational institutions and other organizations, and promote social, cultural and academic meetings and competitions in order to develop a better understanding of ourselves and the world. E-HAO is there to help HAO fulfil that mission.
E-HAO Group was recently founded, yet a few achievements and contents have been accomplished with tremendous effort of our members. We have been able to build the website, which consists of five sections.
1. E-HAO magazine is a collection of many interesting poems and writings, and beautiful and meaningful and comedian stories. It also includes thoughts and contemplations on various matters expressed by our youthful and enthusiastic members. It is also where various fun activities take place.
2. News section comprises the news of activities of Hanoi Amsterdam High School, Hanoi-Amsterdam Organisation as well as other student organisations. Here you can also read a lot of other selective news such as Vietnam News, Education News, Sport News, Music and Art News and so on.
3. Writings section consist of 3 different sub-sections. Inspiration consists of creative writings about all aspects of life. Reflection is about experiences that many have to deal with in life, some are joyful, some are saddening but all of them are thoughtful. Finally, Fun Corner, as its name has implied, is filled with hilarious stories and writings to brighten your days.
4. Who’s who section is where you can interview some teachers at Hanoi-Amsterdam High School that you love and respect, some school friends that you admire or some HAO members that you adore.
5. Forum section is where your interests are cared for and where discussions on many subjects take place.
E-HAO is a very important part of HAO, depends on HAO, but we work independently of other groups in HAO. We develop ourselves and we work our own way to represent HAO. We also open up to other cultures, embrace them, and incorporate all the wonderful aspects of others’ into ours. The best idea is most likely come from different people with different backgrounds. We value the “multi-cultural society” that we live in. And that sets the goals for our E-HAO.
