Thông báo!

Thời hạn nhận bài dự thi sẽ được extend đến 31/10/2005. Mời mọi người tham gia nhiệt tình!!!

Just a quick reminder!
Our deadline for submission is 31/10/2005 (Vietnamese time). This is the last chance to submit any story, essay or poem if you are interesed in the contest. Be quick!
For all current contestants, thanks alot for your great works!!!

Just want to know whether there is a restriction for the length of the essay? and any topic is welcome? Because I have to complete a small research paper by the end of this month (luckily fit with the deadline for submission of this contest :D), which is supposed to have about 3 or 4 thousand words. Im intending to do on some topic which is closely related to Vietnam. That's why i wanna use it to join this funny contest. May I go ahead? Thanks.

Yes, there is a limit on essay's length, which is no more than 700 words, read here for details

BTW, you can summarise your work somehow or just pick one or two issues that you think are the most interesting parts of your work, then discuss about them only.

Dat's why i wanna use it 2 join this funny contest
I don't think this contest is funny tho' ;;)

Looking forwards to your submission

hmm... why not? :-? For me the word "contest" itself contains lots of fun despite whatever the contest is all about :D

Ok, i'll consider the length allowed, summarization will b done in case I have enough time (haven't started yet :-SS). Thnx a lot :)

it could be fun, but it'd be great (and good for yourself) if you can use formal language. I just dont understand what these "funny" words (coz, hav, 2, dat's ...) means :)

I think, here in the E-HAO's box, you are now "writing", not "talking" or "chatting".

Sorry chief :D It's my mistake when bringing those chit-chatting words here, just my habit, no offense, sorry. All have been corrected :)

We would like to announce that the Writing Contest is now closed, no submission is allowed after 23:59 GMT 31/10/05.

All candidates have 2 days to edit/format your works (remember presentation count towards your final mark as well). After that your works will be sent to the Writing Contest Board of Examiners for marking.

Final Results will be announced on or before 5/12/2005.

Good Luck everyone!

Dear Contestants,

Because of the server issues, we could not access HAO forum recently to update information about the Contest. Please bear with us for a while, we have the final results in hand, but would like to give some comments on each submission first. You can check directly on your submission links for more details.

Please note:

Since there are (on average) 3 markers for each category, there might be some different points of view for the same submission, yet still reflected the true final results.
