After this tutorial you should have learned how to create dots like on this signature:
Step 1:
Open up a new photoshop file:
Width 3 pixels
Height 3 pixels
And it must be Transparent
Step 2:
Zoom in to the max ( hold ctrl and + till you cant go any further )
Select black as your foreground, then select your pencil tool:
Then place a dot exactly in the middle of your canvas like this:
Then go edit --> define pattern and give it a name, I called it dots.
Step 3:
Open up a image of your choice, I choose an old signature of mine:
Create a new layer above your chosen image.
Make sure you are on the new layer.
Then go edit --> fill, Click on the dropdown box next to use, and choose pattern.
Click on the image next to custom pattern and select your new made pattern.
I choose opacity 37, but ofcourse you can play arround with the settings.
After entering your settings, hit OK and you have a dotted image !
