Tower of Hanoi? Chị đang nói đến Hanoi Tower hay cái bài toán Tower of Hanoi? Cái bài toán đó thì...dunno why...mà thấy mỗi sách một tên...trong quyển của ông Nga thì là Tháp Hà Nội, nhưng em đồ rằng ông này chơi với lưu học sinh Việt ở Nga Vì chú Tàu có một ver tên là Tháp Quan Âm...

Fascinating Facts
The Tower of Hanoi (sometimes referred to as the Tower of Brahma or the End of the World Puzzle) was invented by the French mathematician, Edouard Lucas, in 1883. He was inspired by a legend that tells of a Hindu temple where the pyramid puzzle might have been used for the mental discipline of young priests. Legend says that at the beginning of time the priests in the temple were given a stack of 64 gold disks, each one a little smaller than the one beneath it. Their assignment was to transfer the 64 disks from one of the three poles to another, with one important provisoøa large disk could never be placed on top of a smaller one. The priests worked very efficiently, day and night. When they finished their work, the myth said, the temple would crumble into dust and the world would vanish.


Where's the Math in this Game?
The number of separate transfers of single disks the priests must make to transfer the tower is 2 to the 64th minus 1, or 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 moves! If the priests worked day and night, making one move every second it would take slightly more than 580 billion years to accomplish the job!

Nhưng vấn đề là ở chỗ tại sao cái Brahma lại biến thành Hanoi được. Mới đầu mình nghĩ là có thể ở India hay 1 khu vực Hindu nào đấy có 1 cái Hanoi tower thật và Hanoi cũng là 1 từ trong tiếng Hindi. Nhưng hình như tiếng Hindi ko có từ Hanoi??

Dĩ nhiên là em vẫn thích cách giải thích của anh QTD nhất.

Nhưng rút k-nghiệm từ đó, anh cũng nên chú ý ko có bồ làm ở viện nông nghiệp nhé, kẻo lại thấy tên anh đặt cho fertilizer; Viện vệ sinh dịch tễ cũng tránh luôn đi, tuy rằng tên QTD đặt cho vi khuẩn thì cũng kêu đấy...

Kém hiểu biết. Cứ yêu em nào đang học cho chắc, ví dụ: tìm em nào học ở Hà lan mà yêu chẳng hạn, đi hỏi viện nọ viện kia lằng nhằng làm gì?
